The Holidays at Easton

Here is my drawings from the last trip at Easton. I really wanted to capture interaction between parent and child during the whole santa event the most and to keep my drawings kind of children's book style simplicity to reflect that look.

  1. Good use of line work and nice poses. It looks like you have a tendency to draw people leaning too far towards the right. Think about weight shift more. If someone leans to the right with one part of their body, they will use another part to balance the weight so they don't tip over.

  2. Colleen,
Mardi's comments are valid. I think the 1st and 2nd pages have a grest vignette for the composition and good line weight variety.
Look to this in your other work.
Also, you have a tendency to draw "form fitting" clothing. Clothing can fit tightly to the skin, but consider variety here, as well. clothing will hang off the limbs at times - if only at the elbows knees that may be bent.
