Huntington center- Sept. 27

So the weather was really crappy yesterday, and I was getting my allergy shots at the Huntington center today and I must say, it is the ideal place to find people in action (so many mini shops on the lower floor.)  Some of the people I drew today were the best as far as personalities- including a man that was getting food at my favorite gyro cart who didn't seem real due to his proportions. One of the guys I'm posting I have the gesture that I got when I was standing at the light drawing him, and then my more rendered out version of him. Oh, and Caribou coffee is the bomb. Highly recommend Huntington center for an outing sometime :] I swear, the people there are cell phone aholics... :I

September 21- Ballet Met

I'm going to post all of my sketches from Ballet Met because overall I thought I got some good motion sketches from the contemporary students. A lot of fun- definitely interesting trying to watch and follow the flow with the dancers. Some of it is repetitive figures because it was a dance routine :P

September 19- Free Choice

I decided to go to a gym to practice with people twisting and turning more since my figures lately have been too static. I must say, I felt a little bad going in there because I could tell some people wanted their privacy (and this is the ultimate "creeper" class haha :P) - but most people I asked were fine with it and let me draw them. I think my favorite drawings are the swimming drawings because of the different forms the swimmer would take and the interesting patterns that were formed by the body with the water.

Wednesday 14th - Union/OSU session

Here's my sketches from the class at OSU - this was a funky day for me and it was actually harder for me to capture people in motion today moreso than usual (-very frustrated here :P-) ... I'm going to practice more independently because of this. I was satisfied in that I feel like I added much more character than my previous sketches this week.

Assignment 2- motion studies

September 12- Deaf School Park

I really loved the kinds of people that go through parks so I decided to go there for my free choice day today. Some of the people were great characters so I tried to capture that in my sketches. A huge group of international OSU students visited the park and their interactions with Deaf School Park were my favorite. My favorite sketches are the international students interacting and the "laid back" group. Note: wiggly armed man was very entertaining- I had to capture his essence :D And I need to work on dogs 8I

North Market

Here are my North Market images- I really enjoyed the page with the girl drawing/ the girl with her back facing me- except I cannot stand that chair and the ellipse on that table -_-' I need to slow down at times like these and pay more attention :P

Here is my figure study outside homework featuring one of my favorite pieces- liberty leading the people (the line of action is great, and it reminds me of Les Miserables :]).
