I decided to focus on hands more so for this free choice because I have been overworking it with darker lines in class. I wanted to capture the feeling of motion through overlap and using hands in context of characters --- (some are more stylized to fit the character)
Colleen,
ReplyDeleteI would recommend a couple things:
-Try not to fill up every square centimeter of your sketchbook with a drawing - leave some space around your drawings so we can read the images better.
These look like good beginnings - and I like that you are staying loose - but the form of the hand starts to get lost and you only develop it in a few drawings.
Lastly, avoid line fills when shading these particular drawings.
Make your marks with the contours - not against them - that's a line fill technique - the illustrator inside you is doing that.
